Report: NYPD accused of racial profiling in stop-and-frisk
? The New York City Police Department is being accused of racial profiling in connection with its stop-and-frisk procedures.
The Center for Constitutional Rights says it analyzed the department?s own data and found patterns related to racial profiling. The report says black and Latino people are more likely to be stopped by police than whites. They are also more likely to be arrested and have force used on them.
The NYPD says the Center for Constitutional Rights was paid to prepare the study and therefore was prevented from being objective.
