Brooklyn's Do-Gooder Awards nominees narrowed to 20
After more than 200 nominees, and nearly 300,000 votes, candidates for Brooklyn's first ever Do-Gooder Awards have been narrowed down to 20 people.
The award, given out by the Brooklyn Community Foundation, includes those who are passionate about arts for all, caring for neighbors, community development, education and youth development and green communities.
One finalist from the five categories will win a $5,000 check for the charity of their choice.
Judges will determine those winners next Wednesday, Nov. 3.
