MTA to vote today on proposed toll hike

? The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is expected to vote today on increasing bridge and tunnel tolls.

The hike would be the fifth since 2003 passed by the transit agency. If the proposed hike is approved, E-ZPass users could see a five-percent increase in fares. Drivers who pay in cash could see an 18-percent hike.

The MTA says it expects to bring in more than a $100 million per year with the hike.
