Closing arguments delivered in radio reporter murder trial

Closing arguments wrapped up in Brooklyn Supreme Court today for the trial of a teen accused of stabbing a New York radio reporter to death.

Prosecutors say 18-year-old John Katehis stabbed 47-year-old George Weber more than 50 times in his Carroll Gardens home in March 2009.

The defense has claimed that Weber got Katehis drunk and high on drugs so that he could have sex with him. They say Katehis, who was only 16 at the time, defended himself when Weber pulled out a knife.

During closing arguments, the prosecution described Katehis as a calculating killer. It said the teenager was sober and willing to have sex with Weber at the time of the stabbing.

The jury could decide Katehis' fate as early as tomorrow.
