District attorney announces sex-trafficking arrest, new campaign
Brooklyn's district attorney announced a sex-trafficking arrest today amid a new campaign to raise awareness about the crime.
District Attorney Charles Hynes says David Young was arrested for trafficking a 22-year-old German immigrant from a Bushwick apartment. Young allegedly sent her to meet men in several cities, including Miami and Las Vegas.
Hynes says a sex-trafficking unit started in Brooklyn earlier this year and has helped crack down on the problem. The program also works to educate people on the issue and its warning signs.
Young is facing several felony charges and is due in court on Nov. 30.
