BK summer camp gets prestigious honor from first lady

A summer camp for kids in Brooklyn has received a major national honor from the first lady.

The Brooklyn Cultural Adventures Program was presented with the award by Michelle Obama in the nation's capital today. The National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award was given to the Brooklyn camp because of its unique program, in which students visit cultural landmarks such as the Botanic Garden.

The Brooklyn summer camp was also honored as the best day camp in a large city two years ago.
