Hubbard St. residents want sinkhole fixed

Residents in Gravesend say they have been complaining about a sinkhole on Hubbard Street since May, but to no avail.

Neighbor Frank Messano says he has called 311, police and other city agencies to report the hole. Recently, he says the fire department filled the sinkhole with random debris, but that did not improve the matter.

The hole is now covered by an orange cone, warning drivers of danger, but neighbors say it's just a temporary fix.

The Department of Environmental Protection says it investigated the sinkhole and is now in discussions with the Department of Transportation to get it repaired.
