City braces for snowstorm
Brooklyn residents and city officials are gearing up for a snowstorm that could bring up to 10 inches of snow to the borough.
News 12 Brooklyn meteorologists say the snow is expected to begin late Saturday morning and taper off Sunday morning. The borough could see between 5 to 10 inches. Other areas around the borough, including New Jersey, could see over a foot of snow.
While residents rushed out to buy shovels and ice, the city's Department of Sanitation prepared to keep the roads clear. The sanitation commissioner says the city is preparing for the worst. They have more than 4,000 workers on hand, as well as 365 salt spreaders.
