Lincoln H.S. students to join MTA protest

Students at Lincoln High School are joining the fight against the MTA's plan to get rid of free student MetroCards.

According to the principal, about two-thirds of his students don't live within walking distance of the school. He says many rely heavily on the free cards. He adds that many of his students don't live in the neighborhood and travel from across the borough for the special programs.

Some worry that if the cards are gone, attendance rates may suffer. Students are planning a protest outside the MTA headquarters on Monday.
