Shop forced to remove holiday decorations
The owner of a Windsor Terrace supermarket was forced to take down holiday decorations outside the store after residents complained and threatened to stop shopping in the store.
Mike Jording, who owns the Key Food grocery store, says several residents told him to take down the 10-foot Christmas tree and menorah he displayed outside the store. Jording says he didn't mean to cause tension, but thought the decorations might get shoppers in the holiday spirit.
Rabbi Moshe Heche, of the nearby Chabad, says his organization donated the menorah to Jording. Heche believes the shoppers' request to remove the decorations demonstrates a lack of tolerance from within the community.
