Norah Jones' construction plan under fire

Norah Jones has turned some of her Brooklyn fans into enemies with a recent decision to knock down an historic brick wall in a Cobble Hill brownstone she will soon inhabit.

The singer received permission from the Landmarks Commission to install 10 new windows on the side of her home, but members of the Cobble Hill Association say the windows were not part of Jones' original construction plans.

According to Murray Adams, of the association, allowing Jones to alter an historic building would set a precedent for the neighborhood. Adams hopes Jones' construction plans will go before a second public hearing.
