'Boulevard of Death' strikes fear in residents

? A dangerous stretch of road in Manhattan Beach called ?Boulevard of Death? by residents is leaving many on edge.

Pedestrians say they are on guard while crossing Oriental Boulevard, even after the city installed a traffic light at the Irwin Street intersection. According to residents, the speeding problem along the street is not diminishing.

Officials say in order to combat the problem, police will be stepping up enforcement. The DOT has also been asked to install a radar speed sign and signs discouraging speeders along the roadway.
