Brooklyn company provides ticker-tape for parades

Atlas Packing in Red Hook is busy shredding paper for Friday?s ticker-tape parade down the Canyon of Heroes.

The company takes rejected paper that printing presses can't use and recycles it by shredding it up. Usually the paper is used in puppy cages and as packing materials, but Friday it will be used to honor the World Series champion Yankees.

Atlas Packing also donated paper for the Giants parade last year.
