Subway commuters face weekend woes

Starting Friday night and lasting through Monday, nearly every subway line around the city will have delays and diversions due to an MTA maintenance project.
According to the MTA, 18 out of 20 subway lines will be severely affected by the large-scale maintenance project. The MTA says repairs need to be made before cold weather hits, especially to trains that are outside and elevated.
In Brooklyn, several tracks will be closed. On the F line, trains won't stop between Jay Street and Church Avenue. Service from Bergen Street to Church Avenue on the G line will be stopped.
The L, N and R lines will also have several disruptions. To help commuters, MTA officials have posted service advisories throughout the subway system.
