Brooklyn buildings to get security upgrade
In response to recent gunfire, stabbings and overall violence, the city will be giving several apartment buildings in Brooklyn a security upgrade.
Approximately $3.4 million in funding will be used to help install security cameras in lobbies, elevators and hallways. The first of the cameras will be installed in the Tilden Houses on Dumont Avenue.
While some residents are relieved to see something being done to help curb violence, others feel more should be done.
