The looming presence of a concrete manufacturer in Red Hook has local residents concerned.
U.S. Concrete Inc. is near completion on a new plant, but neighbors say they found out about the project only two months ago and were never asked for their input.
Residents say they are concerned about the plant's potential negative environmental impact, but a U.S. Concrete official says the company has never been in trouble for any health-related issues.
