(AP) - A New York City man convicted of trying to graban 11-year-old girl off a street on Mother's Day has been sentencedto 10 years in prison.
Bernard Mutterperl, who's 21, was convicted in June of attemptedkidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, burglary and child endangerment.
Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes says the 6-foot-2-inchMutterperl grabbed the girl outside her family's Brooklyn apartmenton May 13, 2007. But the 4-foot-5-inch girl broke free and ranscreaming for help. Neighbors held him for police.
The now-13-year-old girl testified at his trial.
