Toddler falls to her death in Bensonhurst

A Brooklyn toddler died after falling out of a four-story window in Bensonhurst Friday.

Police say the incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. when 16-month-old Afnan Elhewizy fell out a window that apparently had no guard and landed on a second-floor terrace at 8851 20th Ave.

When first responders arrived at the scene, the child was unconscious, police say. Elhewizy was taken to Lutheran Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

Elhewizy is the third child to have fallen out of a window in Brooklyn in August.
