Kensington eatery attracts neighbors' ire
Kensington residents say a local restaurant has become a neighborhood nuisance since it extended its hours of operation, attracting raucous crowds.
Neighbor Alan Braberman says El Gavilan Mexican Restaurant has been at its current location on Church Avenue for three years without a problem until the eatery started playing loud music and hired a bouncer. Braberman adds that brawls are a common sight outside the restaurant.
The manager of El Gavilan, however, says he is not responsible for whatever happens outside his establishment.
Neighbors insist that they don't want the restaurant to be shuttered, but expect its owner to act in good faith.
