Off-duty cop accused of waving gun at man
Police say an off-duty officer was arrested outside a Queens nightclub over the weekend after he waved an unlicensed handgun in the bouncer's face.
Authorities say 28-year-old Trevor Herpaul is charged with menacing and possession of marijuana. According to reports, Herpaul went to his car and got the gun after the bouncer wouldn't let him into the club because he wasn't properly dressed. Police were called to the scene, where they arrested Herpaul and found marijuana in his car.
Herpaul, who works at Brooklyn's 84th Precinct, has been suspended for 30 days without pay.
