A Brooklyn man says he was playing dodge ball with his friends in Carroll Park Friday when a branch fell and landed on top of him.

Justin Calicchio says he is now confined to his bed due to back pain. Describing the incident, he says, "The next thing I know, I just hear the ambulance and my friends are saying don?t move? we?ll get you out.?

The Parks Department says it had no way of knowing this branch was in jeopardy of falling and that the branch was rotted on the inside and had no external damage.
