A Brooklyn man who claims he was sodomized by an NYPD officer filed a $220 million lawsuit against the city Thursday.

Michael Mineo says Police Officer Richard Kern beat and sexually assaulted him with a baton inside the Prospect Park subway station last October. At the time of the incident, Mineo was allegedly fleeing the officers after they accused him of smoking marijuana.

Kern has been charged with assault and aggravated sexual abuse. Officers Alex Cruz and Andrew Morales, who were also present at the time of the alleged attack, were charged with attempting to cover up the incident.
