The body of a man was found on the train tracks at the Newkirk Avenue subway station Friday morning, a transit spokesperson confirmed. Authorities say the gruesome discovery was made at around 7 a.m.

Body found at Newkirk Ave. subway station
The body of a man was found on the train tracks at the Newkirk Avenue subway station Friday morning, a transit spokesperson confirmed.
Authorities say the gruesome discovery was made at around 7 a.m. along the southbound B and Q line.
Service on all southbound trains was interrupted for several hours while police investigated, but has since been fully restored.
