Police say a dead body was found wedged between a rock jetty off the Coney Island beach Sunday morning.
Investigators say they are having difficulty identifying the man because he was found naked and without any identification. They say the body showed no visible signs of trauma.
Some residents who live in the area say they have seen many bodies wash up on the beaches over the years. They believe it was most likely an accident.
Police hope an autopsy will reveal more information about the man and how he died.
