Economic stimulus checks going in the mail
spoke with say their refunds will go straight to paying bills.
The IRS continues to warn taxpayers of potential identity theft scams. The agency has issued advisories against giving out personal information to people over the phone who pose as IRS agents and promise fast money. According to the IRS, agents will never call or e-mail anyone to solicit personal information.
Direct deposit refunds are scheduled to start Monday. The agency says paper checks will begin going out on May 9.
