The award-winning choir of the 92nd Street YMCA has been selected to sing for Pope Benedict XVI when Mass is celebrated at Yankee Stadium.
The Young People's Chorus will perform three songs for the pontiff. One of the songs, Creo En Dios, will be sung in Spanish.
The choir brings together vocalists from across the five boroughs and includes three singers from Brooklyn. The group has already performed on three continents, and a 25-city tour through Japan has been planned for next year.
The young vocalists say not only are they excited, but their parents are as well.
