Police are questioning a man after his wife and another man were fatally stabbed at a Sheepshead Bay housing project Tuesday.

Police confirm that the woman died at Coney Island Hospital and the other man, who was initially listed in critical condition, later died at the hospital. Both were stabbed Tuesday morning at the Nostrand Houses, located at 3043 Avenue X.

The names of the victims and the suspect were not immediately available.

The victims were wheeled out on stretchers as EMT workers worked to save their lives. The woman's husband was also wheeled out on a stretcher in handcuffs. Authorities are questioning him and say he also suffered lacerations.

Investigators say they found multiple knives at the scene. One source claims a possible love triangle could be to blame.

The female victim leaves behind a mentally disabled daughter who was left waiting on a school bus before being told that her mother was murdered. Neighbors describe the victim as a loving mother.
