Problems continue to follow the Khalil Gibran International Academy, though the latest issues have nothing to do with the principal-ouster scandal that plagued the new school in the last year.

Parents of students at P.S. 287 in Fort Greene are voicing complaints about the Arabic-studies school moving into their building. The parents, however, say their concerns have nothing to do with the fact that Khalil Gibran is an Arabic school.

They say that mixing the older students of Khalil Gibran with the younger students of P.S. 287 is the real issue. Khalil Gibran will consist of grades six to 12, while P.S. 287 is made up of pre-kindergarten to 5th-grade students.

Parents say they recently got a high school out of the building and feel there are too many kids there already.

The city's Department of Education says the feelings of parents will be taken into consideration.
