High winds are being blamed for a deadly scaffolding collapse Wednesday in Fort Greene.
According to fire officials, Jose Palacios fell about 13 stories at 525 Clinton Ave. around 10 a.m. Another worker was injured and a third man managed to jump to the roof before the collapse.
The Department of Buildings says stucco work was being done at the time of the incident. The DOB also says the developer of the condo complex, Clinton Court Development, has racked up six violations at the site.
Officials maintain that a high wind advisory was sent out early Wednesday morning to warn construction sites about the dangerous winds.
