Monday marks new post-Thanksgiving shopping day

Cyber Monday, a new post-Thanksgiving shopping day, ousts Black Friday as the only day to snag good sales.
Some retailers will do one day Internet sales Monday. For people who are hesitant to do their holiday shopping online, Shop.org has put together a list of tips that should make the experience easier.
The site suggests planning ahead and making a list. This will minimize confusion, and sticking to the list will help prevent extra spending. Shop.org also says shoppers should use common sense, and that if a sale seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Shoppers are also advised to read the fine print the retailers have on their Web sites, and to be aware of privacy policies and warranty information. They also suggest writing down purchases, which will help shoppers stick to their budgets and balance their checkbooks.
ComScore, Inc. reports that the holiday Internet shopping season was off to a good start. They expect sales will reach $29.5 billion, up 20 percent from last year.
