Tenants say apartment building overrun by rats
Several tenants of an apartment building on Ralph Avenue say they are being forced out of their apartments by rats.
The tenants say they?re afraid to return to their homes because of the infestation and fear it is affecting their health. They say rats are crawling across sleeping children, gnawing through furniture and leaving droppings everywhere.
Sobongile Ballentyne says she had to bag up all the clothes in her apartment and throw away her son?s stuffed animals to prevent further damage to them.
The tenants say they are still playing rent, but some have pretty much moved out. They say management seems unconcerned with the problem.
News 12 Brooklyn?s calls to the building?s landlord and manager have not been returned.
