Two killed, eight wounded in string of BK shootings

Police are searching for suspects in a string of shootings that left two dead and eight wounded in central Brooklyn.

Investigators say the first shooting occurred around 10:20 p.m. Monday at Dorchester Road and E. 21st Street in Ditmas Park. A 25-year-old man was killed and a 23-year-old woman was wounded in the incident.

Officials say another 50-year-old woman was found injured nearby at 520 E. 21st St.

About 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a triple shooting at E. 91st Street and Clarkson Avenue. The victims range from 16 to 44. The men were taken to Brookdale Hospital.

Authorities say about an hour later, a double shooting at 505 Franklin Ave. left a 33-year-old man fatally wounded. A 25-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and transported to Kings County Hospital.

Police also responded to two other shootings. A man was shot in the leg on Bergen Street, according to police. A 56-year-old man was also shot at the corner of Newkirk and Flatbush avenues.

Investigators say the Ditmas Park, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Flatbush and Weeksville shootings do not appear to be related. No arrests have been made.
