Police officer from the Bronx killed in weekend crash

Police officers in The Bronx are mourning the loss of a colleague after a decorated cop was killed in a weekend crash.

Esther Sanzo, 37, died early Sunday morning on the Palisades Parkway after being thrown from her vehicle when it struck a guard rail. The 15-year veteran worked in the 48th Precinct and met her husband, a fellow officer, while serving in the 44th Precinct.

Investigators say they're still trying to figure out what led to the accident.
