Cops: Man makes 3 failed robbery attempts in 1 day
The search is heating up for a suspect who police say tried to rob three Bronx businesses in just one day, but failed each time.
According to authorities, the would-be robber first demanded cash at a Pay-O-Matic on East Tremont Avenue at around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, but fled before he could collect. They say he then went to another Pay-O-Matic on the same street 10 hours later, but was again unsuccessful.
Officials say the suspect returned to the original check-cashing business later that night for his third and final attempt.
The man is described as being over 6 feet tall and about 175 lbs. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
