NYPD Harmony Picnic builds bond between officers, civilians

Kids from various camps in The Bronx had the opportunity today to take part in the annual NYPD Bronx Harmony Picnic.The event provides an opportunity for kids in The Bronx to see the NYPD in a different light through positive interaction. Kids say the event not only allowed them to get up close and personal with the NYPD, but it also gave them a chance to play some of their favorite sports with friends.The Harmony Picnic included carnival games, raffles, giveaway and food. One camp director says the event proved to be beneficial, especially for the younger kids.
