Some people in Highbridge have been on edge for weeks as an abandoned pit bull roamed their streets freely. Neighbors say the pit bull has been spending days and nights on the porch at 88 West 169 St.

Highbridge residents on edge as abandoned pit bull roams freely
Some people in Highbridge have been on edge for weeks as an abandoned pit bull roamed their streets freely. Neighbors say the pit bull has been spending days and nights on the porch at 88 West 169 St. They say they called police, animal control and the ASPCA to inform them that the dog was left inside an abandoned house, but their calls went unanswered until they told News 12 The Bronx.Residents say the pit bull recently attacked other dogs. Since there's a day care on the same block, neighbors say they'd rather be safe than sorry.Animal control showed up while News 12 The Bronx was on the scene. They say they're assessing the situation.
