Landlord dubbed the city's worst appears in court

A Bronx landlord labeled the worst in the city appeared in housing court earlier today.

More tenants testified that three buildings on College Avenue are falling apart and infested with rodents. The residents are calling on a judge to appoint an administrator to collect the rent and use it to make necessary repairs.

The landlord, Eli Abbott, previously turned down an offer to post a $100,000 bond and allow the city to supervise repairs.Another tenant is scheduled to testify tomorrow.
