City's 'worst landlord' to make repairs or face trial
A Bronx landlord that's been called the worst in all of New York City by the public advocate has until tomorrow to make numerous repairs for his tenants or go to trial in housing court.
Tenants living in the three College Avenue buildings say maintenance problems and infestations have been going on for years. They took the company, College Management, to housing court in order to get their apartments fixed.
The judge told the landlord he has one day to decide whether to pay a $100,000 bond and allow the court to supervise all of the tenants repairs, or continue to fight their complaints in court.
