Fordham Heights residents frustrated at lack of mail service
Tenants in one Fordham Heights apartment building say they haven't received mail in over a week, and the post office is making it nearly impossible for them to pick it up.
Tenants at 2325 Morris Ave. say they went to their mailboxes last Wednesday to find a letter from the post office saying it is no longer delivering to the building.
The post office reported that the mailboxes are too small and could cause injuries to the mail carriers.
Tenants are frustrated because they say the post office gave them no notice before it cut off mail delivery.
Additionally, residents say they have been given only an hour, between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. to pick up their mail.
The building manager says he has already installed new mailboxes and is now waiting for the postal service to inspect them.
