Body discovered underneath Whitestone Bridge
The medical examiner plans to conduct an autopsy tomorrow on the body found by FDNY workers underneath the Whitestone Bridge this morning.
This discovery comes more than three months after a 33-year-old Bronx construction painter, John Massas, fell off the Throgs Neck Bridge.
Massas' wife and family members are working with police to confirm if the body is in fact their loved one. MTA officials say the project Massas was working on is nearing completion, although some local residents say the risks are too great for the employees involved.
