Private investigator hired in death of hip-hop mogul
A new, independent investigation has been opened into the death of hip-hop mogul Chris Lighty.
According to lawyer Scott E. Leemon, rapper 50 Cent is pushing for the probe after police say the 44-year-old committed suicide in his Riverdale home last month.
Leemon says the investigation is being lead by private investigator Les Levine and is in its extremely early stages. It's being initially funded by 50 Cent, but with the hope that others will pitch in.
Lighty is believed to have shot himself in the head. He managed LL Cool J, Mariah Carey and Sean Diddy Combs.
