Farmer's market brings farm-fresh taste to BX tables

A local farmer's market is giving back to the area by bringing farm-fresh taste to the tables of Bronx residents each week. La Familia Verde has produce donated from a coalition of five local gardens.

Farmer's market brings farm-fresh taste to BX tables
A local farmer's market is giving back to the area by bringing farm-fresh taste to the tables of Bronx residents each week.
La Familia Verde has produce donated from a coalition of five local gardens. Each are tilled by volunteer urban farmers who merge eating smart with community outreach.
The market is open every Tuesday outside Tremont Park from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. through Nov. 13.
