Teachers union: Nearly half of NYC schools are overcrowded

The United Federation of Teachers (UFT) says nearly half the city's schools are overcrowded. P.S./M.S. 194 is the most overcrowded middle and elementary school in The Bronx, according to the UFT. Overcrowding means there are more than 33 students per class in a middle school and more than 34 students per class in high school. Parents whose children attend these overcrowded schools say officials need to fix the problem now.
