Police: 4 men impersonated cops in robberies
Four men, three of whom hail from The Bronx, were arrested today and charged in federal court with impersonating police officers. Officials with the FBI and NYPD say the suspects allegedly committed two robberies that netted them more than $200,000. Marco Perez, Said Rivera, Morelos Disla and Dinos Psirros are accused of robbing a cigarette trafficker back in November 2011 and then a narcotics trafficker this past June. Authorities say both incidents occurred while the men posed as enforcement agents. In addition to robbery charges, the men also have also been charged with possessing and using a firearm. If convicted, they each face a maximum penalty of life in prison.
