A Bronx councilman is demanding a four-way stop along Harding Avenue in Throgs Necks to get drivers to ease off the gas pedal.

The speed limit signs say 30 mph, but Councilman Jimmy Vacca and local residents say cars are always going much faster between East Tremont and Emerson avenues. Vacca says the wide intersection at Balcom Avenue is the ideal spot because it's the midway point on what he calls a speed strip.

News 12 the Bronx reached out to the Department of Transportation (DOT) about the situation and is waiting to hear back.
