Police accidentally shoot, kill Morrisania bodega worker

A police officer accidentally shot and killed a Morrisania bodega worker during an overnight armed robbery.
According to authorities, three suspects entered Natalie Grocery on East 169th Street at around 2 a.m. Friday, and held the manager and his nephew, who worked at the store, at gunpoint.
Officials say the employee, 20-year-old Reynaldo Cuevas, broke free and burst out the door, where an officer was positioned with his weapon drawn. The two became entangled and a shot was fired, striking Cuevas in the shoulder.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the incident during a press conference.
One of the suspects surrendered shortly after shots were fired, with a second person being taken into custody four hours later. The third suspect was found in the basement where police say he tied himself to a pole to appear as a hostage. A vigil was held tonight outside the bodega.
