Call made for increased patrols at Half Nelson Playground

Bronx residents are questioning the safety of the Half Nelson Playground park after several recent violent attacks.

Four people were stabbed at the playground on Saturday night. In July, just steps away from this weekend's violent attack, a man was shot and killed.

Park-goers are calling on police to increase patrols and install surveillance cameras. A Parks Department spokesperson says the department is aware of both incidents but will not be making any changes to current safety measures.
