Dozens of homes were badly damaged when parts of the seawall on Vincent Avenue collapsed.
Water gushed into the street during the peak hours of the storm, bringing debris and drift wood into the Throgs Neck community.
Local residents say they have been concerned about the seawall for years. Members of the community are planning a meeting with City Councilman James Vacca to tour the damage.
