Toppled trees take down BX power lines
Trees not only came crashing to the ground across the borough during Superstorm Sandy, but they also took power lines down with them.
Tangled tree branches and wires cover the streets near Sedgewick Avenue and Van Cortland Park East where residents say they heard the trees get uprooted.
In another area, a massive tree fell onto a home and cars in Kingsbridge Heights. Many homes and businesses in both areas are still in the dark as a result.
