Bronx residents fear Sandy will topple sea wall
As powerful Hurricane Sandy approaches, Bronx residents fear that a decrepit retaining wall on Vincent Avenue will not be a match for the storm's strong winds and resulting pounding ocean waves. Residents say that the sea wall has been falling apart for years and that they have been trying to get it repaired. They tell News 12 The Bronx that the city, however, is not doing anything about it. Last year, Tropical Storm Irene flooded a portion of the street. Bronx residents are now forced to hope for the best this time around.
